Lyn Kream

Lyn Kream has parlayed an overactive imagination into a wonderfully satisfying career in Costume Design and Production. Lyn began her career as the designer and creator of ballet and performance costumes for her dance studio/theatre company, Encore School of Performing Arts, in Sanford, NC.  Lyn has also designed costumes for Broadway Dance Theatre, Carolina Performing Arts Center, Sanford Ballroom Dance Company and Jessica’s School of Dance, and what she considers her crown jewel, Milwaukee Ballet School.

Stage credits include “Recital ’06, ’07, ’08 and ’09” - Encore School of Performing Arts; “Alice in Wonderland” - Milwaukee Ballet School, “Oklahoma” - Star Community Theatre; “The Gospel According to Gary” - Thomas Mamalakis; “The Nutcracker” - Jessica’s School of Dance; “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” - UWM Mainstage Theatre (stitcher, design - “Jesus”); “No, No, Nanette” - UWM  Mainstage Theatre (stitcher, design/reconstruction - chorus); “Hunter” - Dreamstar Dance Competition.

Film credits include “Hurricane Bonnie” - Cue the Dragon Productions; “Nugget” - FlipEleven Creative, and last year’s 48
Hour Film Festival winner, “Until Death” - FlipEleven Creative.

Lyn’s work is also fabulously brought to life by Milwaukee’s crème de la crème drag performers. Clients include: Harmony Breeze, Kiki Kardashian, Naima and Tempest Heat-Stratton.

Lyn is excited to announce that herwork will also be seen on the upcoming Season of RuPaul's Drag Race worn by non other than the fantastically plastic TRIXIE MATTEL. This has been a labor of LOVE and a goal set by both of them 3 years ago.  The 8 outfits created for the show are the culmination of ideas, risk taking, creativity and painstaking planning by what can only be described as "The Dream Team" of Lyn and Brian (Trixie) Firkus.

Lyn is a Milwaukee native, and currently resides in Sheboygan, WI with her 2 sons where she teaches ballet, choreographs and designs/builds costumes for Jessica’s School of Dance. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Theatre/Costume Production at UW-Milwaukee and does business as Lyn Kream Designs.
